Time Finance completes first talent leadership programme

Time Finance has completed its first Talent Leadership Programme – an initiative formed to recognise excellence from within and enhance the skills of the next generation.

Launched in September 2020, nine of the Bath-based company’s rising stars were awarded placements on the year-long programme.

The cohort were tasked with managing and delivering three large projects to the Operating Board at Time Finance. Alongside the opportunity to project manage, the team benefited from internal mentorship from members of the Operating Board as well as external leadership coaching from a personal brand ambassador.

Our Talent Leadership Programme was the first of its kind and was designed to help shape our employees into the next generation of future leaders. We were inundated with applications from enthusiastic employees, ready to make a real difference in Time Finance. I’m delighted with the cohort we selected and the success of the programme. It’s a pleasure to see so many of our graduates already advance in their career in such a short space of time and go on to do great things.”

Over the last 12 months, Dan Hughes, now Head of New Business (Property Finance), has escalated into a management position and takes responsibility for a small team of advisors and building their new business pipeline. John Cowham, Financial Controller, has been appointed into a more senior position, now managing a larger team across multiple sites in the organisation. Kate Brown earned a promotion to Senior Marketing Manager, which included the recruitment of a new team member beneath her and the added responsibility of driving the firm’s marketing strategy. Matthew Sturney stepped up to a new role within management to oversee and drive new business in Time Finance’s Vendor Finance division. Finally, both Tom Cook and Sophie Marsh were promoted into management positions.

The AIM listed alternative finance provider currently employs over 160 employees over six UK sites, providing funding solutions to UK businesses seeking to access finance to realise their growth plans.
