Bath City Farm has taken delivery of some much-needed new equipment thanks to a donation from HPH Commercial Property.
HPH, with support from one of its tenants, Westbury Building Supplies, arranged for building materials to be delivered to the charity based on Whiteway in Bath. Westbury Building Supplies assisted with the delivery logistics and sourced materials including sand, cement and building blocks.
The equipment will be used to build new animal pens at the farm, making it easier for volunteers with mobility issues to help look after the animals and for visitors to view them.
Bath City Farm was named by HPH as its charity of the year in October, and since then staff have been undertaking fundraising activities and donating time to support the community-focused cause.
The charity delivers 15 different projects based around horticulture, animal care and cookery, supporting disadvantaged and disabled people to develop new skills and confidence. It also works to boost emotional, mental, physical and social well-being.
Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property, said, “As a Bath-based company we aim to support the local community in a variety of ways, and this delivery to Bath City Farm will help the charity to continue its excellent work.
“We are very grateful to our tenants Westbury Building Supplies for donating their time to help with this project and we look forward to seeing the results over the coming months.”
General Manager for Bath City Farm Helen Fisher added, “We would like to thank HPH and Westbury Building Supplies for all of their support. Having the backing of local businesses is really important and we’re delighted to have taken delivery of much needed building supplies to help us create new pens for the animals.”
