The Employment and Skills Pod is a newly launched community service delivering a range of employment information, resources, and training programmes using a variety of digital and physical channels to encourage our community to seek and attain work.

The Employment and Skills Pod which is part of the Compassionate Wellbeing Hub is made up of a strong partnership of leading engagement services in Bath and North East Somerset. The Pod refers the community onto key organisations to provide training and upskilling opportunities, not only for people who have been made redundant due to Covid-19, but also those that are short or long term unemployed, require upskilling in order to keep their jobs, or are looking to change careers.

The Pod’s Partnership Organisations include:

Clean Slate which offers free support and training to people who want to stretch their budget, find better work or access help online.

Future Bright which helps local people develop their skills, increase their income and progress in their career. It offers 1:1 careers coaching to plan your next steps and open opportunities for funded training courses and equipment.

Bath College which provides Adult Community Learning free courses for those who want to improve their chances to find work, support their families or live independently.

West of England Works – a partnership to help unemployed people age 15+ in the West of England find employment.

Citizens Advice Bath & North East Somerset which provides free, impartial advice and information on a range of issues. It can help with most everyday problems from employment to housing and debt.
