With Lockdown 3.0 upon us, The Business Exchange is asking for your insights regarding coping strategies, new habits and how to stay positive throughout this third (and hopefully final) national lockdown.
Naomi Summers from business support service GO Get Organised talks to The Business Exchange about health, happiness and home schooling.
How are you keeping positive through Lockdown 3.0?
I am about to embark on a 12-week body transformation programe to help me feel physically and mentally better. It should help to balance home schooling! I am also using this time to plan my business for the future.
How are you structuring your day? Have you changed your habits?
I get up as per a working day Monday to Friday to ensure weekends feel like a weekend. I have to work more in the evenings now to work around children at home which is not ideal, but it won’t be forever. That is the benefit of running a business flexibly, I make it work around my family!
Are you doing anything new?
The 12-week body transformation programme! God help me, I might walk out of the lockdown looking great, but mentally challenged with all this home schooling!
Have you changed your New Year resolutions?
Nope – just to be healthy and happy and to find a better work life balance. Covid has really made me enjoy quality time with my family and put life in perspective.
Have you introduced any new rituals?
Gain air before we all begin our day; we start with a family walk before we all hit our individual timetables.
What are you most looking forward to when restrictions are lifted?
Seeing my parents and friends and giving them a massive hug.
What is your biggest goal this year?
My priority is for us all to remain healthy and happy. I would like GO Get Organised to help as many businesses as possible!
What has the past nine months taught you and how has it shaped your future for the better?
It has taught me not to take anything for granted and that literally anything can happen. Be flexible and adapt. If you stay still you will just be left behind. Embrace and go Forth!
