Bath firm among the best in the west

A Bath business has been named as one of the best in the west at the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards 2019.

The awards, which were held at the Somerset County Cricket Ground in Taunton on Thursday 7th February, recognise the very best small businesses from across the South West and act as precursor to the national FSB awards.

This year’s Business and Product Innovation Award winner was Ecosulis based in Newton St Loe. The company is an experienced consultancy and contractor working in the fields of conservation, biodiversity and natural resources and has worked on high profile projects throughout the UK. The award was given for innovation in its biodiversity assessment tools.

Also recognised at the awards was the Dr Julian Medical Group which works to provide online mental healthcare support to patients throughout the region including those living in Bath, Bristol and Swindon. Dr Julian has brought together a range of highly experienced therapists and psychologists who are able to offer psychological therapy through online video sessions and messaging via phone, tablet or computer.

Roger Tarrant, Regional Chairman for the South West, said the event highlighted the strength, creativity and wide-ranging nature of the local SME sector.

He said, “It really was a fabulous day and it was amazing to hear all about the fantastic nominees. The businesses in the South West are just so diverse – they really do cover the whole spectrum. I hope we can now go on to see some South West winners at the national finals in London.”
