Leading Bath-based law firm Mowbray Woodwards has strengthened its legal team with two new key appointments at its Queen Square offices.

Associate solicitor Rebecca Broom has joined the growing private client team where she will be responsible for advising clients on all aspects of future planning, including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Care Planning.

Rebecca, who qualified as a solicitor in 2001, has extensive experience of helping individuals in estate planning and probate matters having worked for 11 years at Woollcombe Yonge solicitors in Plymouth and prior to that, she worked at Blaser Mills solicitors in Buckinghamshire for 10 years. Rebecca is a fully accredited member of both The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE).

Rebecca said: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a long-established, multi-disciplinary law firm as Mowbray Woodwards which has a first-class reputation in Bath and throughout the region.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is having the opportunity to meet people and hear their stories. I enjoy helping clients get their financial and property affairs in order, providing them and their families with peace of mind for the future.”

Another new arrival is Areesha Amin who joins as a paralegal in the busy residential property team. Areesha studied law at UWE and recently qualified as an accredited mediator. As an important member of the property team, she will be responsible for helping clients with the full range of conveyancing services and providing administrative support to Mowbray Woodwards’ specialist property solicitors.

The two new appointments follow hot on the heels of the recent qualification of Harriet Woodman as solicitor in the family law team. Harriet joined Mowbray Woodwards as a trainee solicitor in 2014. She will be working alongside associate solicitor Daniela Nikols, assisting parents involved in care proceedings.

Managing Partner of Mowbray Woodwards Tracey Smith, said: “A big welcome to our brand new appointees Rebecca Broom and Areesha Amin. It is always exciting when new team members join us here at Mowbray Woodwards and I know they will make a valued contribution to the private client and property departments respectively. And a ‘huge well done’ to Harriet Woodman on her recent qualification as solicitor. Our trainees play a key part in our long-term success and it is hugely gratifying to help provide them with a firm foundation to build their law career.”
