By Nick Batten on 3 August, 2017

Travelodge, the hotel brand which operates 547 hotels, has begun searching to fill 20 positions for its new hotel in Bath, scheduled to open this autumn.

Bath City Centre (Bath Spa) Travelodge is located in the city centre at the Westgate Building on Avon Street and is the company’s third Travelodge in Bath. The hotel is conveniently located for the near 1 million business and leisure travellers who visit the city every year and stay overnight. Travelodge claim that it will “boost the local economy annually by £2 million.”

Additionally, it will feature the next generation of the company’s ‘Travelodgical’ contemporary room design which includes the Travelodge Dreamer bed, new bedside USB charging points, new softer LED ceiling lighting, a new Italian acoustic door (to help create better conditions for sleep), comfort cooling and Samsung 32 inch digital televisions.

Travelodge is looking for 20 enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about delivering great customer service. Positions include Receptionists, Night Receptionists, Housekeeping and Guest Room Cleaners. Flexible working hours are available to help candidates who have to work around child care and further education studies.

The new team members will receive on the job training at Travelodge’s other two Bath hotels in Bath Central and Bath Waterside so that they are fully trained in time for the opening of Bath City Centre (Bath Spa) Travelodge.

Huw Huckridge, Travelodge, district manager for Wiltshire, said: “Our focus now is to find 20 motivated people to join our exciting Bath team and be a key part of our 10,000 nationwide Travelodge team. If you have passion, determination and a real desire to look after people then we will help you learn the rest.”

He continued: “At Travelodge, we are committed to developing our colleagues. We have a successful internal management development programme in place called Aspire which has helped hundreds of entry level colleagues successfully climb the career ladder into management. Joining a hotel company such as Travelodge opens the door to training and real career progression.”
