Last week Bath-based law firm Thrings hosted their first networking event of the year, ‘Thrings Link’ at Framptons bar.

The event attracted over 60 business people from Bath and beyond to network and hear the tales of guest speaker Lex Deak.

Lex is the co-founder of private investment company QVentures. A private investment club for ‘sophisticated’ investors. He has founded ventures in technology, hospitality and finance and worked with both private and government groups connected to entrepreneurialism. Lex has been awarded Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Banking and Financial Services Provider of the Year for QVentures.

From selling antique repro furniture in Eccles to exchanging contracts for a Riad in the desert, Lex has an interesting story to tell. He even gained investment on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den.

Thring’s Link prides itself on the quality of the speakers it attracts to talk at the networking events and they are becoming a real talking point in Bath and beyond. The next Thrings Link is to take place in May 2018 with details to follow soon.
