Google and Facebook are among the key headline speakers coming to Bath at a digital marketing conference being organised by Bath-based digital media buying agency, SearchStar.

According to SearchStar, the one-day conference entitled: ‘Digital Advertising 2018 & Beyond: Building Brands & Driving Response’ is aimed at “forward thinkers” working in businesses, large and small, to discuss the future of digital marketing. Rather than focusing on online versus offline, the conference will aim to look at how best to combine media channels to reach and communicate with audiences.

SearchStar – which claims to be one of the UK’s largest independent ‘pay per click’ (PPC) and digital media buying agencies – plans to challenge current thinking and provide professionals with “fresh ideas and perspectives” on the marketing industry and specifically, how digital advertising can deliver for both branding and performance advertisers.

Dan Fallon, founder and managing director of SearchStar, explained, “There is about to be a game-changing moment for the marketing industry. Predictions have been made indicating that by the end of this year, global digital advertising spend will overtake traditional TV spend for the first time. We know that digital isn’t the complete answer and we want to look at the role it can play and how this role is growing, especially for younger and increasingly tech-savvy audiences.”

He continued, “Our conference will look at how online advertising can contribute to the performance of campaigns, the rise of the social and video ad platforms and what best-in-class looks like for driving response in 2018.”

“It is the place to be for businesses who want to get a unique insight into how technology and data will change the way we build brands and what developments are happening in 2018 and beyond.”

In addition to talks from leading professionals, delegates will have the opportunity to learn “important tactics” to help them stay on top of an ever-changing industry. They will have the opportunity to ask experts in-depth questions throughout the day and network with like-minded professionals.
