Bath accountancy firm Richardson Swift has boosted its senior management team with the appointment of a new director.

The Laura Place practice has promoted Calvin Healy to director following a record year, which saw its turnover grow by 25 per cent.

The qualified chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser joined the practice during 2014 having spent the previous 15 years at regional and top 10 accountancy firms advising owner managed businesses and private individuals on their accounting and tax requirements.

Jon Miles, director at Richardson Swift, said: “We are delighted to announce Calvin’s appointment as a director.  Over the past three years Calvin has made a significant contribution to the firm by developing his team, helping to bring in new clients, and adding technical expertise and experience in specific key areas of tax.”

Calvin added: “It’s an exciting time for the firm as it looks to expand further in Bath and the surrounding areas. The world of tax is becoming ever more complex and, as part of my new role, I’ll be continuing to develop the firm’s private client service offering including inheritance tax and trust and estate planning, to ensure our clients receive the best possible advice.

“In addition, this will include preparing our clients for the planned introduction of the Government’s Making Tax Digital project.”
