A team of employees from Bath-based MyLife Digital Group, which includes Charity Data Analysis company, Wood for Trees, completed a bike ride in aid of the hospice charity, Dorothy House, on Saturday 5 August.

The cycle ride included a ‘selfie’ stop at each Dorothy House shop along the 130-mile route which took the team over 8,000 feet of climbs, starting at Dorothy House Hospice in Winsley, moving on to visit the shops in Bradford on Avon, Trowbridge, Westbury, Warminster, Frome, Shepton Mallet, Midsomer Norton, Keynsham, Bath, Corsham, Chippenham, Malmesbury, Calne, Devizes and Melksham. While some members of the team were attempting the whole distance, others aimed to complete various legs of the ride.

They finally returned to Winsley to be welcomed by Dorothy House staff in the evening. According to MyLife Digital Group, the members taking part either gained sponsorship from friends and family or donated to the cause themselves.

J. Cromack, chief executive officer at Wood for Trees who co-founded MyLife Digital with ex-Bath and England Rugby player, John Hall, said: “Over the years Wood for Trees has helped many charities and we are delighted to have supported Dorothy House who do amazing work. The team at Wood for Trees and the wider MyLife Digital Group did a fantastic job planning the route and raising funds for this mammoth challenge. We all put our best ‘cleat’ forward!”

Throughout the journey, the team posted updates to social media to map their progress, keeping the MyLife Digital and Wood for Trees social pages up to date with the 131.6-mile adventure which they completed in 8 hours and 51 minutes.
