Local businessman, Jerry Walsingham, who owns the Mail Boxes Etc. store at 3 Edgar Buildings, George Street, Bath, is harnessing bird-power to deliver this autumn. “For the month of October, all our customers’ packages and parcels will be delivered by storks,” he said.
The storks in question are the animated characters from Warner Bros.’ new film, which opens in cinemas on October 14. “The storks are now nesting in the windows of our store in the form of life-size character cut-outs,” said Jerry. “We’re running a prize draw and giving away free movie posters to our customers to celebrate the launch of the movie, Storks.”
Mail Boxes Etc. Bath specialises in parcel delivery – and now, so do storks. From the studio that created The Lego© Movie, Storks brings us a world where storks no longer deliver babies. Instead, they deliver packages – and when Warner Bros. was looking for a retailer to help spread the word about the new film, post and parcel specialist Mail Boxes Etc. seemed the ideal choice.
“We’re so excited to be collaborating with one of the big Hollywood movie studios to promote their main animation adventure release of the year,” said Jerry, “and we’re celebrating with a fabulous prize draw to win a family trip to Barcelona, complete with a helicopter tour for a stork’s-eye view of the city.
“Everyone who sends a parcel with us in-store during October can enter, and there’s no limit to the number of entries you can make, as long as you’ve shipped a package with us in each case.” 50 runners-up will receive a pair of cinema tickets.
“There’s lots of other exciting stuff going on in-store, too,” said Jerry. “Everyone who sends a parcel with us will get a pack of Storks pairs cards. Customers can also pick up a Storks poster for their kids*, and take a ‘selfie’ with one of our life-size Storks characters. Storks is going to be huge this autumn, and we want to give our customers the chance to join in the fun.”
