Expansion for Bath’s Stone King

Law firm Stone King has taken on 14 more solicitors and support staff in Bath to work across its growing education, charity, business and private client divisions.

They include Helen Tucker who joins Stone King as a partner in the firm’s independent schools team in Bath. She was previously head of the education sector team at law firm Ashfords in Bristol and head of legal for The Girls’ Day School Trust.

Helen advises independent schools on a range of issues including strategic review papers for trustees, complex safeguarding and child protection cases, educational negligence claims and allegations of discrimination.

Also joining Stone King as a solicitor in the Bath commercial property team is Kara Gosden who previously worked at CMS Cameron McKenna in Bristol. Kara has experience advising clients in a number of areas including property disposals and acquisitions, leases, deeds of variations and consents.

Other new faces in Bath include Tim Roche who becomes Stone King’s new head of IT. Tim has worked in the legal industry for the past 15 years and joins Stone King from Reading law firm Boyes Turner, where he held a similar position.

He has worked for both global and national firms providing expertise in IT technical management, holding IT director and CIO roles delivering IT services, project management, strategic planning and IT transformation programmes. He has also worked in the private banking and financial services sectors, as well as the automotive industry, at IT manager and director level.

Stone King also welcomes a number of new trainee solicitors in Bath including Deborah Camp, who joins the education team, and Lucy Blackwell who starts work in the firm’s business property team.

Other new trainee solicitors include Alice O’Mahony, who joins Stone King’s employment, regulation and dispute resolution team, and Rachel Feilden who starts work in the charity and social enterprise team.

Stone King also welcomes Sarah Paul and Courteney Reynolds as paralegals in the trusts and estates team. Kiran Johal joins the team as a legal secretary.

Additional new appointments within Stone King’s Bath office include purchase ledger and general accounts apprentice Karolina Papina, HR adviser Katie Walker, business development executive George Capon and Doreen Gordon, who is a legal secretary in the employment, regulation and dispute resolution team.
