International Women’s Day Celebration at the Assembly Rooms

£20On Thursday March 8, 2018 Searcys and Bath’s Historic Venues is hosting an informal networking event as part of International Women’s Day celebrations.
2018 marks 100 years since some women in the UK had the right to vote. This event will remember the past, reflect on what’s been achieved and look at progressing to the future.
Special guest June Hannam, Professor (Emerita) of Modern British History, who has published widely on the history of women will deliver a thought provoking talk on how things have changed for women in the last 100 years.
June will bring to life the fascinating story on Mary Blathwayt, a suffragette who lived in Batheaston, Bath. Mary’s parasol is proudly displayed in a current exhibition at the Bath Fashion Museum based in the Assembly Rooms for you to see.
Tickets for the event are priced at £20 which includes:
