Epoch shortlisted for national platform adviser award

Bath-based Epoch Wealth Management is in the running for a coveted national industry award that celebrates excellence in the fields of financial advice and technology.

Epoch is one of just three national finalists competing for the prestigious title of Leading Adviser Practice (up to 10 advisers) in the Schroders UK Platform Awards 2016.

The annual awards recognise firms, both large and small, that use or develop state-of-the-art technology platforms to provide an excellent financial advice service to clients.

Platform technology allows Epoch to hold investments in a single place, rather than having a collection of individual holdings with a number of different providers. This means the firm can manage clients’ investments more efficiently with one valuation and spread tax allowances over a number of providers in any given year.

Epoch has also pioneered new techniques for cash flow modelling to help customers realise their future life goals.

The awards judging panel, chaired by Personal Finance Society CEO Keith Richards, will be looking for evidence of a first-class customer service supported by the use of IT to enhance clients’ investment experience.

The winners will be announced at a special awards dinner, hosted by BBC journalist Kate Silverton, at the London Hilton, Park Lane, on the 20th September.

Epoch’s managing partner Barry Newbury said: “We’re really pleased to have been nominated. We’ve been shortlisted a couple of times now for national awards so we’re hoping that this will be our time to win.

“This award means a lot to us as it shows that we are utilising all available tools at our disposal to provide the best service we can to our clients – whether that’s through cost savings, better administration or clearer advice through showing clients the impact of their decisions on their future.”
