Bath’s First Lanson Champagne Bar Pops Up For National Champagne Week

By Anita Jaynes on 8 September, 2016

The Roman Baths Kitchen will be transforming its bar and terrace area to open Bath’s first dedicated pop-up Champagne Bar in the heart of the city in celebration of National Champagne Week.

The National Week was founded five years ago by hospitality company Searcys and is now an established event designed to encourage people to explore the diversity of the world of champagne.  This year, Searcys has teamed up with Lanson, one of the oldest and most famous champagne houses to create Bath’s wonderful champagne bar.

The Lanson champagne bar and terrace will be fitted out complete with outdoor parasols and blankets as a cosy retreat ideal for locals to relax and sample a glass or two of champagne.  In addition, as October is also Breast Cancer awareness month, the company has committed to donating £1 for every 125ml glass of Lanson Rose purchased at the champagne bar during the week in aid of Cancer Research UK, Breast Cancer Research.

Kayleigh Tindalid, marketing executive at Searcys said: “Lanson make some of the finest champagne in the world and remains one of the oldest holders of the Royal Warrant.  It has an extensive range of champagnes to suit different tastes and we have created some interesting food pairing events.   We are very excited this year to create a champagne bar in the city centre which we hope will encourage people to try a glass of fizz in beautiful surroundings.”

Over the seven days Searcy’s has planned a number of events and promotions at the Roman Baths, Pump Room and Roman Baths Kitchen. For full details vist: www.romanbathkitchen.co.uk
