Bath women are being invited to an International Women’s Day networking evening at the iconic Pump Room on Wednesday, March 8.

The audience will be able to quiz a panel of local businesswomen on the challenges they have faced achieving success in their professions as well as how they have managed to combine work with fulfilling personal lives.

The panel includes TV newscaster Imogen Sellers, Entrepreneur’s Godmother Alison Edgar, Bath Chronicle editor Rachael Sugden, former mayor of Bath and business owner Loraine Morgan-Brinkhurst MBE and Olympic Silver medallist Heather Fell.

Guest panellist local businesswoman Loraine Morgan-Brinkhurst MBE, said: “I was delighted to be asked to take part in this very special event.  As a mum of six children, a politician for 20 years, running my own events business, being one of Bath’s youngest mayors and supporting many charities I have jumped many hurdles. I have seen women juggle  family lives and work, but still manage to find time to put something back into the community they are part of.”

Kayleigh Tindalid, Searcys Marketing Executive, said the team were delighted to be hosting an International Women’s Day event at such a stunning and historic venue. “The Pump Room, with its grand columns, magnificent interior and ornate decoration is an inspirational setting – what better environment for talented women to meet, share their own experiences and inspire the next generation,”  said Kayleigh.

Ticket prices are £25, with a Champagne and bowl food reception around the Great Bath followed by dessert platters and the Question Time-style discussion in the Pump Room.

A charity raffle will take place on the night in aid of the city-based charity Southside, which supports families dealing with issues like physical disability, domestic abuse, sexual violence, substance abuse or long-term mental health problems. The team focuses on delivering positive change.

To bring further attention to this year’s global event women will be encouraged to #BeBoldforChange on social media.
